Curaprox (CURADEN AG)

A full redesign of the Swiss and UAE Curaprox stores: two separate Shopify stores running from one shared base theme on Horizon.

I worked on this as a developer at aiconomy AG, which ran the project for its client. REMTA Digital was not involved; the details below describe my own part.

By the numbers

16.2 → 4.5 MB
weight of a colour-variant product page
13.0 → 1.4 MB
gallery images on that page
2.03 → 0.76 MB
HTML of a 36-colour product page
84 / 84
UAE delivery dates matching checkout
−34%
time until the bestseller slider showed all images on slow 3G (31.7 s → 20.8 s)
0.108 → 0
layout shift on mobile product pages (seen in half the runs before)

Measured in my pull requests with Lighthouse and real Chrome on unpublished test themes against the live theme (August and September 2026): mobile Lighthouse for page weight, Slow-3G with a cold cache for the slider, and repeated runs for layout shift.

What I built

  • Multi-store content system: blocks resolve their own content from the shop domain and from PIM metafields, so the same block renders UAE shipping copy on one store and Swiss copy on the other, and removes itself entirely when the backing metafield is empty.
  • A merchant-configurable product page accordion whose body is chosen by a source setting: rich text, a structured specification set from the PIM, ingredients or store-specific shipping information, with empty-value gating at every level.
  • Expert box block and the HubSpot newsletter integration, including a single language-independent form for the UAE store.
  • Store-aware social links, client-side blog filtering with OR-within-group logic and pagination, and a product card rating component.
  • Shopify Liquid
  • JavaScript
  • Horizon
  • PIM metafields
  • HubSpot
