EV Zug
The official Shopify storefront of EV Zug, a Swiss National League hockey club: personalised jerseys, checkout bundling, live auctions and ERP-driven pricing.
I worked on this as a developer at aiconomy AG, which ran the project for its client. REMTA Digital was not involved; the details below describe my own part.
By the numbers
- 1,479
- lines in the live auction page
- 8,070
- lines of order-confirmation emails, German and English
- 325 / 907
- commits in the store repository are mine (October 2026)
Line counts from the files in the repository; commit count across all branches, excluding merges.
What I built
- Checkout bundling: a Cart Transform Function in TypeScript, compiled to WebAssembly, that merges personalised jersey components into a single bundle line in cart and checkout, keeping every component attached for fulfilment with no change to the total. Plus its admin page in the companion app.
- Jersey personalisation: optical centering of jersey numbers using canvas-based glyph analysis, recalculated after the webfont loads, personalisation pricing, brand fonts and state that survives switching jerseys.
- Live auction page with bidding interactions, modal flows and guest login.
- Customer-specific pricing: aico ERP discount groups applied across product pages, product cards, quick add and cart, including Swiss Rappen rounding.
- Bilingual DE/EN order confirmation emails in Outlook-safe Liquid.
- Separate development and production themes on a branch-based workflow, with matching environments for the app.
